We have the pottery barn sectional right now and it's approaching 7 or 8 years old. We have pets and the last bleeding gum incident with one of them sealed the deal on getting a new sofa. Thinking ektorp, karlstad or kivik. Who has one and how are the cushions holding up? |
A similar PB one would run about 3 k again and the ikea price tag looks really good. We have dressers from them and lover them along with a coffee table and office desk. ( 10 years old and looks brand new) |
I'm sitting right now on a leather couch from ikea that we bought 12 years ago. It's held up quite well, it's only in the last 3 years that I've noticed enough wear to repace. Also about the time I started paying 2 daycare bills, so it will do a few more years![]() |
We have an ektorp and it's very firm, not squishy. We have this couch and a leather sectional both in our family room and I like both. The ektorp is more shallow but it's still cozy. Our sectional is like a cloud - a big comfy cloud. Sectional is from Overstock and we've only had it for 6 months. Ektorp is better for sleeping as it's more firm/supportive but sectional is better for lounging.
Visually, ektorp fits our style. I wanted a PB sofa but wasn't willing to spend thousands. |
We have had the Kivik sofa for only 2 1/2 years but the cushions are holding up - still firm and in shape. |
I have an ektorp and find it uncomfortable for lazing around. |
OP here
Thanks , we are going with the Kivik |
