May need "instant" cooked Thanksgiving dinner on short notice - thoughts?

Suggestions needed! Our Thanksgiving plans were to go to our beach house for family Thanksgiving dinner. Due to sudden work changes, we may find ourselves home in McLean but we won't know until Wednesday. If we stay home, can anyone suggest a last-minute way to buy a Thanksgiving dinner, preferably cooked @ McLean area?

Whole foods will have all of the sides in their prepared section. Not sure about turkey though.

I went to Costco today for non-Thanksgiving-related reasons, but they had a seasoned turkey breast and/or turkey leg, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes and acres of pumpkin pie available. You might want to check it out.

The costco mashed potatoes are very good.

Safeway has a frozen turkey breast that says on it it can go from freezer to oven. That and a box of stovetop stuffing, jarred gravy and frozen broccoli are my back up plan.

Today buy:

a whole chicken (can freeze if you don't eat it)
a bag of seasoned stuffing mix
a bag of cranberries
a bag of precut and cleaned green beans
a bag of baby carrots
a bag of potatoes (if you don't want to cook that much you can be prepared mashed potatoes or instant but I hate the way they taste)
a packet of instant gravy if you don't like to make your own
package frozen dinner rolls

Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, and some seasoning (like Italian herb mix) and roast for 1.5 hours or however long it says to cook it!
Peel potatoes, put them into a crockpot or boil them and then mash them
boil cranberries according to the recipe on the bag (use half the sugar for best taste!) Let cool and jell
Saute green beans with some olive oil and salt, pepper and chopped garlic
roast baby carrots in oven while chicken cooks
remove chicken from oven, use drippings to make gravy if you know how or just mix up gravy from mix
bake rolls while chicken rests.

If you end up going, you can just bring the carrots and green beans for snacks or something. The rest of the food will keep in the freezer or pantry.

Wow, well done. We are in central america for this year, and I am not cooking. But you made it sound so good and so easy to pull together a traditional family meal.
