Sweet Potato and Apple Pie

I do not like pie but everyone in my family loves it, especially the traditional thanksgiving pies. Ive decided to try my hand at baking a sweet potato and apple pie for thanksgiving this year. Anyone have a great recipe for either? My family would prefer anything that was traditional southern as opposed to fancy/new age/foodie.

OP here, after I posted this question I started searching for recipes and I came across this one and saved it because it sounded good! I started reading reviews and some people make adjustments. Do you make it as is, or have any adjustments you prefer?

Grandma ople pie poster here - the only adjustment I make is to do half water half rum! I've made it without but I like the smell of a little rum in my baked goods
