What do you plan on eating/serving?

I so want to just have pizza and call it a day. Watch movies with the kids and relax.

We're having steak. We gave up on traditional turkey about five years ago and had been doing broiled chicken, dark meat only, but this year decided to heck with poultry.

When my MIL visits for Thanksgiving, we host a non-traditional meal of broth fondue. I make a nice vegetable broth and we serve beef, chicken, salmon, shrimp and several types of veggies, get a dozen or so sauces and everyone picks and cooks their own meals. The broth that is left at the end is so flavorful. I take it and make some pasta and add it to the broth and Black Friday lunch is noodle soup. I cook leftover meats and veggies and add to the soup.

My wife remembers when they used to do this as a kid and so we do it whenever her mother comes for Thanksgiving, which is once every 2-3 years (the in between years, she comes at other times).

We never eat enough Turkey, so we just get a Turkey breast. Bonus: It takes less than an hour to cook.

I have upped the status of pumpkin pie to main course, for myself. It's basically replacing mashed potatoes.

We are also doing a turkey breast because we're just staying home (two adults and a 5 year old) and I feel that making a whole turkey is not a great use of my time.

We had our nuclear family non-traditional Thanksgiving at a restaurant last week and had seafood. This week, we are having "real" Thanksgiving with extended family.

My husband and I are ordering pizza or thai.
