Second Faint Line

Anonymous
Yesterday, I tested 12 days after a 5 day fresh transfer. I used the First Response and got a very faint second line.
Tested again this morning and got another very faint line. This is my 5th IVF cycle. I have always used First Response and have
never had a faint line. I have been experiencing mild cramping since the transfer. My symptoms have been exactly the same for each cycle.
Not feeling any different this go around. Do you think I should purchase a different brand, Clear Blue Easy, or do you think the test is picking up a
chemical pregnancy? I not sure what to think.

No advice other than to wait and see, of course. If you want to try another brand no harm there. Fingers crossed for you.

How faint are we talking? Squinter? I had squinters on frer 13 days after my iui with hcg trigger shot with negative beta the next day. Was your trigger hcg? If so it could technically be hcg left from that. If you used lupron though, it could go either way between chemical and a sticky bean. All of the above requires time to wait and see what happens. Good luck op you are in my prayers

I would think that at 12dp5dt you should be getting a fairly dark line if it's a viable pregnancy.

Have you not had a beta yet? A line is a line, so you are pg, but I agree with pp that one would expect it to be fairly dark at 17dpo. You should be well past any leftovers from the trigger. At this point I'd look to the beta number, and hopefully doubling with a second.

9:04 - meant to add hugs and praying this does work out for you. I know how frustrating the whole journey can be.

Wishing you the best OP. I'm in the camp of a line is a line. My lines for both successful pregnancies did not seem very dark until 20 dpo with the FRER. I also did IVF. My fingers are crossed for you.

No advice but wanted to say best of luck OP!

Unfortunately this, but don't lose hope yet--GL at your beta that is hopefully tomorrow?

Thank you all for your comments. My Beta test is tomorrow. I am hoping for the best. This has been a 2 year long journey and would like to very get some positive news for once....

My lines were faint on the home pregnancy test (over a few days before my beta) and I'm now 28 weeks. So in my case the strength of the line didn't seem to mean much. just another data point.

I'm hoping you get positive news, too. I tested with FRER and Wondfro (the cheapies) and for both of these tests my line was pretty faint until I hit the 5 week mark - not as dark as the control line, anyway. I'm sending you positive thoughts, OP!!!!
