Thinking about making this for Thxgiving. I was wondering if it would be OK to assemble at home and then pour it into the baking dish, drive to our destination (1.5 hours) and bake it there? Or would that ruin it, clump up the sauce? What do you guys think?

Don't presume your host has oven space or time. Bring something cooked that at best needs a little reheating.
If you're coming from an hour and a half away and contributing a dish, then I think it is fair to ask the hostess if she can spare oven time for it, especially if this is family. I'm not sure this casserole will travel well un-baked, though, and you run the risk of the cream sauce souring without refrigeration.
The host does have oven space and time, so that is not an issue. What if I fully bake it and take it that way? Reheating OK?
I bring stuffing assembled but not baked 5 hours every year no problem.
Stuffing has no cream. So hiw is that similar?
How about assembling it and then placing the casserole dish down inside of an ice chest for the drive? Bake upon arrival.
