Infertility Support and Discussion

I am in my 2ww and I've noticed my hear beating more rapidly and I find it annoying when I lie on my left side because I can feel my heart beat and have a hard time sleeping so I sleep on my back.
I've always had a very loe BP so that's not the issue. Also, I've been surffering from insomnia during my 2ww. I went to bed at 10 and woke up at 2am because I had to pee and than could not go back to sleep for another 2 freakin hours!!! ugh... or I will just get up very early!!! Have any of you ever experienced this? |
|
your mind and body will play lots of tricks on you during a 2ww. the symptoms you mention could mean you are pg, or they could just mean that you are paying more attention to your body right now because of the 2ww. Unfortunately, only time will tell. Do try to do some light reading or other relaxing activity before bed to try to help you get your mind calmed for sleep. Thinking about all the "what ifs" right before bed is a sure prescription for insomnia.
Good luck and I hope it is positive! |
| I totally agree with the PP, but I am 10 weeks along with my 1st and had/have a hard time sleeping through the night and also wake up very early, which is very uncharacteristic for me. I have been going to acupuncture as well and my acupuncturist did mention that pregnant women have a stronger pulse than non pregnant women. So......could be good news, you never know! |
| Am just three months myself the first time and also find sleeping not as easy. I'm hotter, but also, I started having to pee a lot at night super early on - not something I normally did. And body just more uncomfortable in the bed feeling. Good luck, but maybe that means something good. |

I'll share my experience, but do bear in mind it's different for everyone. If you don't experience it this way, it doesn't mean you're not PG.
I have had 3 children. I always felt warm, pregnancy just made me feel MORE warm. By the time I was pregnant with the 3rd, I was more conscious of a full bladder when I got into bed - even in the very earliest weeks of pregnancy. I also felt DEAD tired: so I was always desperate to pee out every little drop before bedtime so that I wouldn't wake up in the night (the further into a pregnancy I got, the more futile this effort was). The fatigue is memorable because it only grows and gets worse before it gets better in the 2nd trimester. Then it gets worse again. (Then you have the baby and are committed to the fatigue for the next 18 years, but that's a story for another board.) For my body, the sensation of being pregnant during the 2ww was like a really crazy case of PMS. Early pregnancy and almost having your period are, after all, hormonally pretty similar as far as the effects on your body. Every day that my period didn't show up felt like I was just that much more desperate for it to start tomorrow: bloaty, cranky, and hungry but in a really picky way. And then I peed on a stick, got a positive test, and it all made sense. You would think that by the third one I would've been expecting it, but the sensations still caught be unawares and seemed obvious only in retrospect. Each time it felt like a particularly overdue period (even before it was actually overdue). Fingers crossed for you. |

First repsonse can pick up a pregnancy about a week before your period is due. That may help put your anxiety at ease.
Definitely while you're waiting you are going to be more focused on your body. Some women feel the changes and symptoms of pregnancy more so that other woman. When I was pregnant with my daughter 5 days before my period was due, I was having horrible heartburn and reflux which I never have so I took a HPT and sure enough 2 lines : ). This time around, it's different. Most of my girlfriends said their breasts swelled and got sore. Mine didn't until much later, like 3rd trimester. The warmth and heat didn't come until 3rd trimester and the frequent urination didn't come until 3rd trimester. Thankfully did not have the extreme fatique with her but having a bit with this one. So every pregnancy can be different and every woman can experience things differently. GL. |
Huh? This is incoherent... |

Thanks guys! I appreciate your reponses except for the last one. I apologize for the typos, I was exhausted and could barely keep my eyes open.
I'm pretty in tune with my body since I'm a competitive runner and my pulse has always been under 50. My heart rate now is 70 bpm and is beating much harder. I am 11dpo today so I think i will hold off on POAS until 3 more days when it's most credible. Thanks again for the helpful input!

Great! I'll be looking at the board in 3 days - let us know if it's good news!

OP here. I think if I do test, it will be this weekend. My BETA is on the 25th so I will definitely know for sure than. Thanks!!!
|
How do you have a beta scheduled if you aren't even late? Are you going through fertility treatment? If so, that can really affect your hormones and do all sorts of odd things during the 2ww. Good luck to you, and try not to analyze too much during this time (I know how hard that is, but really, you'll just make yourself crazy). And for me, I've been pregnant 2x and am currently in the 2ww, too. First time it was the sore boobs. Second time no sore boobs but a drippy nose (not congested, just drippy). And as bad as this sounds, both times a glass of wine just was not appealing to me. And it usually is.

Yep- I just went through IVF and had two excellent day 5 embryos transferred. I'm feeling these symptoms that I've never felt before so I'm questioning them and YES I AM ANALYINZING MY SYMPTOMS. After doing some research, I really think this worked. My biggest symptoms is the extreme tiredness (since 9dpo) and I'm normally a very energetic gal. I have the sore boobs too and one nipple is larger than the other. Weird!!!
Thanks for your response.

PP 11:25 here
Fatigue was definitely one of the earliest and most obvious clues for me. I've never thought I was pregnant and then been wrong. It's a good sign! Good luck!! |
I finallly broke down and tested at 14dpo and I am PREGNANT!!!! The line was almost as dark as the control line! I just knew the racing heart beat was a dead give away. Thanks for all your support!!
