Hi All. So, the last time I was at the dentist was in November 2009 (tooth extraction) and before that, it was in late 2002.
As you can tell, I am an odontophobe. Once I'm in the chair it's not so bad, but getting into that waiting room is an ouch moment. But, now I've got a slight toothache that's getting less slight... I am looking for a dentist in Springfield/Burke (home) or Kingstowne/Huntington/Belvoir (work). I don't want to be lectured by my dentist, I know I need to do a better job. That's why I left my last dentist in 2002, he was a lecturer. I'd like some encouragement and attainable goals instead. A kind persona and a gentle manner certainly would help. Also, a dentist who is friendly to those with bladder issues would be nice. Really hoping I can find a long term dental relationship Any suggestions greatly appreciated, especially if you tell me why you like the dentist you're recommending. Very Respectfully, Chuck Murphy |
I love Dr.Dosen but he is in Alexandria off of Seminary but it isn't far off the freeway. He has his own practice and he is great. He was recommended to me by a friend who sounds very similar to you. He has a great bedside manner and definitely in it for long term clients. I also really like his office staff. |
I recommend my dentist, Dr. Mehta http://www.dregber.com/ in Annandale close to I-495, not exactly in Springfield but she has been great to me and my dc, a couple of my co-workers go to her too. |
Love love love Annandale Smiles. They totally baby me, giving me a prescription for vallium (I think that's what it is?) the first few times so I could relax, painting a numbing spray around my mouth, and just being super kind and gentle and encouraging. I half expect a sticker or a balloon on my way out each time!
They are just inside the beltway between Braddock and LRT. I live near WSHS and it's <10 minutes from home. |
Ma's dentistry in Kingstowne in wonderful. I am terrified of the dentist and won't even say how long I waited. It's that bad.
They were the best I've ever dealt with and never made me feel embarrassed or self conscious. They are very gentle, patient, and thorough. My insurance benefits were about to expire and I had a lot of work done over the course of two days. They came in on Saturday to finish the work and she gave me her cell number in case I experienced any problems. Who does that now days? Good luck ![]() http://mobile.masfamilydentistry.com/ http://www.yelp.com/biz/mas-family-and-cosmetic-dentistry-alexandria |
