| I invited 3 adults over for lunch this weekend, but am at a loss as to what to serve. Need very easy suggestions....Otherwise, we'll just order pizza. |
Salad, Lasagna, Tiramisu. |
| Chili |
| Chili |
| What time is it? If it's early enough, I'd go for brunch and make breakfast burritos. |
| I hate chili. Pizza and a salad would make me happy, and lasagna would be fine. |
Does it make you fart? |
No idea - I'm a picky eater and don't like anything remotely spicy. |
| Quiche and salad. Soup and sandwiches. Breakfast casserole. |
|
I like to serve strata and salad for guests. Make the strata the night before. When your guests arrive you pop it in the oven and will only need to prep the salad.
This is my favorite for a casual lunch:http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2009/12/spinach-and-cheese-strata/ If you're serving brunch, Paula Deen also has a yummy recipe for a breakfast casserole made with hash browns and sausage. |
How is this helpful? Most grown ups are not picky eaters. |
It was helpful that I voted for pizza or lasagna. How is that NOT helpful? |

Soup, salad and pannani. If you have one of those Cusinart counter grillers, get various deli meat, various cheeses and a nice sliced sourdough. I did this for an impromptu lunch and everyone loved it.

Which is all very brunchy. If it is a brunch - sure. Else stay away from breakfast food at lunch time. |
I also vote paninis! Get some fun ingredients like fig jam, Brie, arugula, on top of the standard lunch meats and sliced cheeses. Big hit for my friends |
