Strawberry cake for DS' birthday

Anonymous
DS is adamant about wanting a strawberry cake for his 4th birthday. Does anyone know where we can get one? We're in Arlington.

TIA!

So easy to make. Yellow or white layer cake with whipped cream frosting. Put strawberries in the layers and a few on the top. Yum! I've also made it where I puree some strawberries with sugar, strain, then fold the puree into whipping cream.

We got one at whole foods.

Just make one. It will taste better, and your son will have a blast helping. He'll have lovely memories of it years from now, which won't be the case if you buy something and plop it down in front of him at his party.

coldstone creamery has a delicious frozen strawberry cake if your son doesn't mind that it is frozen.

I just made one today that was actually great. Box strawberry cake mix. Icing is a tub of vanilla whipped icing and a container of cool whip blended together. You could put some strawberries in the middle and on top. I know I know it's processed but it turned out pretty good. Or just make angle food cake and put whipped topping on top with strawberries.

Pastries by Randolph does a chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream. If he doesn't want the chocolate, you could probably get them to make one with vanilla cake and strawberry buttercream if you order in advance.

My DD's mom insisted on making her birthday cake one year. DD pulled me aside later and said it tasted awful. The following year I told my ex I'd handle the cake and got DD a Carvel crunchy cake. She loved it.

Just because your co-parent is a lousy parent, doesn't mean everyone else is too.

OP, have you asked your kid what they mean by a strawberry cake?
