| I feel almost juvenile admitting this, but my SSRI causes me to have nightmares occasionally. Last night they were absolutely terrible and I'm dreading going to sleep tonight. Anyone else dealt with this? Any ideas on how to deal with this unfortunate side effect? |

Check to make sure you are taking the medication at regular intervals.
Timing is important when taking these types of meds. For instance, it can mess w/your system if you skip two days, then take for four days, then skip another two days, etc. Also Paxil gave me horrible nightmares. Now I am on Zoloft which is much better. |

Zoloft (15 years ago) gave me the wildest dreams.
The info packet with Zoloft read, 'side effect: cable TV-like dreams.' Sorry you are freaked out, OP. Definitely talk to your therapist about this. He/she can recommend techniques for restful twilight. |
| Prozac gave me vivid and incredibly boring dreams. It was the worst. I felt like I spent a long night bored out of my mind. |
| Prozac give me crazy dreams, I dream of things I would never think about on my own, it's like they are fully formed movie scripts, but some are just absurd. I hate it, I feel like my mind is never at rest at night. |
