At least 1/4 of the time I get starbucks the stupid paper cups end up creasing and dripping from under the lids.
It's enough to make me go down to the asian deli and get their starbucks coffee served in a foam cup (for less) (end rant) A lot of internet articles on this but the company is clueless and focusing on stupid other things. http://www.quality-wars.com/2008/10/18/the-design-flaw-in-starbucks-cups/

| Buy a mug, jeeeesh. |
| Starbucks addict here and I've never had an issue in all the years I've been buying coffee there... much prefer paper cups to styrofoam. |
| Styrofoam? Ew. |
| Notice in the pic how the crease in the lid is over the crease in the cup? If you twist the lid so the drink hole is not directly over the cup seam this will not happen. Clearly you have not had as many peppermint mochas as I have.... |
| I love the reusable cups that many Starbucks sell now. I think they cost about a dollar. And you get a discount with a refill. |
But then you have to clean them. If I am going to buy coffee at a premium I want to have premium cups that are disposable. |
| I go to Starbucks all the time and have never had this happen. |
| This always seems to happen to me when I'm wearing a white shirt. I think they overfill the cups. |
The poster is correct, though I agree with others that you (and I) should get reusable cups. |
| who cares. |
| This 100% happens to me every single time I get a coffee from there. I can't walk without it dripping out all over me as I walk to work. Fail. |
| Never had a problem at Starbucks. I hate foam cups because I worry that they will rip going in and out of the cup holder (mine is the kind with retractable prongs). |
Exactly. 98% of the time ensuring the drinking while is opposit the cup crease will fix your leak problem. Yes I totally made up that statistic. But that's about me personal success rate. |
| Styrofoam gives a funny taste to the drink! |
