| Is one airline better for a 3 hour flight? Thanks |
|
jetblue is a far better airline.
but if the cost was very different, i could deal with usair. 3 hours is nothing. |

Does USair lose more bags than jetblue? Might be the case. |
| We always fly JetBlue if it's available. We get to pick our seat, the 1st bag flies free, more leg rooms, TV to entertain kids. It is so much better than other major US carriers. |
| Agreed. Unless there's a huge price or convenience difference (in the departing airport or times), always JetBlue > USAirways. And if you're going to be checking bags, make sure you take that into account when comparing prices, since jetblue won't charge for the first checked bag, but USAirways will (unless you have status). |
| I would always choose jetblue over USAIR if prices were comparable. I am curious, where does Jetblue fly to the carribean from around here? I would jump on that. |

Where are you flying out of? That makes a big difference to me... If DCA, I would fly USAir. If you are flying out of IAD or BWI, JetBlue might be a better pick.
I don't like flying JetBlue out of DCA for two reasons: (1) They are in Terminal A. Ick. Not a huge deal, just annoying and inconvenient if you are taking the metro to/from the airport. (2) Because JetBlue does not have that many flights out of DCA and it is a really small airport (they don't "store" extra planes there), they OFTEN have delays out of DCA. If a plane has a mechanical issue or is stranded somewhere else (which happens often during the winter), you face long delays. Unfortunately, I have had this issue 4 times with JetBlue at DCA - one time the delay was so bad that they brought a plane in from Dulles. USAir, on the other hand, operates a ton of flights out of DCA, so I have found that this is less of an issue. |
Nonstop I think it's only Nassau and San Juan, but they have a lot of Caribbean destinations. Last time we went to the DR we ended up flying Jet Blue from IAD through Boston, because it was best the schedule/fare. |
JetBlue moved to DCA Terminal B in September 2014. Although honestly I kind of liked flying out of A - so small and manageable. |
| Jet Blue. US Air sucks. |
| thanks, flying to Bahamas. |
