Anyone got pregnant right after period?

Is it possible?

What do you mean, exactly?

No, you can't get pregnant between your period and before you ovulate. Unless you ovulate days after your period, but that would be unusual.

You can have some light spotting and PMS symptoms that would be symptomatic of implantation, and not a period. In that case, you could get a positive test right after the bleeding that you mistook for a period.

I did. The only time we had unprotected sex during the month I got pregnant was the day after my period ended. I must have ovulated unusually early, and sperm can live for several days inside the body. Early egg, hardy sperm... baby.

Exactly. I have a short cycle and ovulate just a couple days after my period ends. But I already know that so it's my normal, which is a little different than what you're asking, I think.

I thought I did. The only time we went without protection was the last day of my period. About 4 weeks later I was feeling off and took a test, got a BFP. Went to the doctor 2 weeks after that expecting to find out I was 7-8 weeks along. U/S showed that I was 5 weeks along, a second U/S two weeks later showed me at 7 weeks. So we must have had a condom failure along the way.

Or you ovulated earlier than you thought. Sperm can live in waiting for almost a week. how long was your period that month?

I did, but my cycles were crazy after going off BC. I finally decided to start using OPKs and the very first one I used was a solid smiley two days after AF. It was solid for another 48 hours after that and a few weeks later, I found out I'm pregnant with #1!

In retrospect, I think it was really just breakthrough bleeding from going like 70+ days without a real period. I'm not sure how common it is to ovulate right after your period.

I don't know; both times I've gotten pregnant were on day 7.

I thought that, but the unprotected romp was Sep. 17, and conception was October 1st. That would a darn hardy sperm. A franken-sperm even. If this baby arrives with super-strength or something I may reevaluate

Just wondering what some of ages are of any of the above posters. I ask bc now that I'm 36 I do notice my ovulation (and cycles are shortning) seems to be happening sooner after my period. Not the case at all in my late 20s/early 30s when I started tracking to TTC.
