ECNL moving to school year not calendar

I gather the main news has been leaked- that it will no longer be calendar year. Many have pointed out that California does their tryouts during the winter, so they needed a heads up.
On the various boards across the nation, many are arguing over Sept 1 or Aug 1. Most seem to think Aug 1 b/c it was what was previously done. |

| I think we will be lucky to get anything definitive now. News will slowly trickle out of clubs and leagues in the weeks to come. |

| Just like anything else it's a hierarchy and your local club coach has 3 degrees of separation at most from any given board member. We will hear secondhand news about a decision this evening. |

| According to friends in Cali 8/1-7/31 is a done deal. They have tryouts next month for the upcoming year and they will be first to implement the changes. |
