When I was younger (teens early 20s) I had a TON of EWCM each month. I remember needing to wear a pad some days. Now, at 33, it's decreased to the point where I'm not sure if I have an OK amount or not for TTC. So at the risk of starting a way TMI conversation...how much cervical mucus is enough to conceive? And how do I find out?
FWIW, I do get EWCM each month around O but sometimes only the day of. I am taking evening primrose and drinking lots of water and it seems to help but I am not sure how much. I also tried Guafensin but it made me want to hurl so I stopped (and it didn't seem to do much). Should I go for Pre-seed? Can it be more harmful than helpful if I don't need it? Any advice appreciated! Thanks! |
I wouldn't worry about it. Most women don't even know they have EWCM.
I never had noticeable EWCM. My doctor wasn't concerned. I used Preseed just in case. Easily conceived twice.
I have barely noticeable ewcm and after 5 months got preg first month using preseed. I'm a huge fan. There's no risk.
Pre-seed won't hurt, but that's a call you need to make. If you find that you are dry and uncomfortable during sex, I say yes, do use the pre-seed. I typically get about 5 days worth of ewcm during my fertile peek. I'm also using soft cups after sex to hold the sperm closer to my cervix. I tend to not sit still after having sex, so maybe it helps mentally or both. I'm also going to switch from using tampons to soft cups, because I don't like feeling so dry after my period. GL to you!
Try Preseed or Conceive Plus if you want. You can also try green tea.
