Bahamas?

I am interested in a weekend trip by myself for some sun and relaxation. My husband has agreed. Would the Bahamas be a good choice for march? TIA! I don't want to spend a ton, but need it to be clean and safe. Sheraton Nassau had a deal, anyone stayed there??

Personally, I'm not sure I'd travel out of the country myself without my husband. We went to the Bahamas last year and like every island, there are very nice parts and very poor parts and you certainly have to go through the poor parts to get to the nice parts. If you're looking for warmth and relaxation, what about a resort on Florida or Arizona?

I wouldn't worry about going to the Bahamas alone ... just use the same judgment you would use here and you should be OK. That said, it seems to me that most of the hotels in Nassau are a little past their prime ... I haven't been to the Sheraton specifically, but you should check out some reviews on tripadvisor.com.

Scottsdale, AZ would be my choice. Great accomodations, restaurants, shopping, weather and spa
