| DH and I really want to try Whole 30 but the recipies seem pretty time-intensive. What are some good ones for families running out the door in the morning and getting home late at night? |

Crock pot pulled pork
Eggs, cooked any number of ways Ground meat, cooked with seasonings of choice - can eat with fork or in a "taco" shell made of romaine heart leaves Roast extra veggies on the weekend Have salad greens and homemade dressing available Make mayo on the weekend, then for a quick dinner make salmon or tuna salad (w/ canned fish) and serve in cucumber boats Roast pecans with coconut oil and salt - for salad topping or snacking. I haven't done whole 30, so sorry if I've suggested anything not compliant. |
| The author of Well Fed who also maintains a blog that includes recipes at www.theclothesmakethegirl.com has devised a sytem she refers to as "hot plates". In her Well Fed book she describes the weekly cookup and how to put it together to paleo meals. Most of these I imagine are Whole 30 compliant. Basically it involves cooking a bunch of chicken, ground meat, and maybe some pork and pairing the protein with veggies and sauces in a saucepan to whip up dinner in 15 minutes. I can attest that it works and I thought her suggested combinations are delicious. My kids are another matter. They don't like my Paleo diet so we're still experimenting. |
| I just made a paleo butternut squash lasagna tonight and the kids loved it! I was surprised. They had no idea what was in it. Just google butternut squash lasagna paleo, it's on the stupideasypaleo.com site. |
