| I'm pretty sure I ovulated today, and I'm cramping, nauseous, and have a strong sense of smell. But those symptoms as related to pregnancy don't begin until after implantation happens, right? |
| They would begin many days after ovulation. The pregnancy hormone needs time to build up before you can begin feeling symptoms (nor not feeling any symptoms). It sucks that the symptoms of early pregnancy often mimic your period about to start. It's the progesterone. |
|
| I didn't realize I was pregnant until 5 weeks (thought implantation bleeding was my period), and was shocked to find out I was. The only early symptom I had was sore breasts. |
| I had morning sickness and extremely sore breasts 8 days past ovulation. Didn't have a faint line on a pee stick for 7 more days. So it can happen pretty early, but it can also not happen early and that is fine too. |
| ^^But not the DAY OF ovulation. I'm just ovulating "hard" this month, haha! Had to take some Motrin for the cramps. Oy. (This is op.) |
| I had minor spotting bleeding on the day of implantation. I was feeling nauseous about 10-14 days after ovulating. |
|
I'm currently waiting for my period to not happen, so take this with a grain of salt but when I was ovulating I has very minor "cramps". Kind of felt like twinges.
Based on what I have read, most symptoms of an early pregnancy will not show themselves until 7 DPO at the earliest. |

Right.
I don't think you can FEEL pregnant until at least after implantation. Meaning I do not think you can FEEL pregnant actually at ovulation. |
| I didn't feel pregnant BUT my nipples (not breasts) were extremely sore and tender only a few days after O. I knew I had to be preg and was indeed. |
|
It's hard to say since the AF symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are very similar.
I guess I felt something around 10dpo, not day of the o. I had light cramping. I almost never cramp until the day of bleeding but I had dull cramping and back aches for a couple of hours at a time for several days. When I think back I had ewcm for several days before my o day and we did the deed on all of those days except 1. No sore breasts or nipples. Kind of sore ovaries and discomfort in lower back. Followed up with a pregnancy test the day before AF was expected and I am in fact pregs. |
| Breasts felt sore/weird about a week in. |
This is just a sign of ovulating. I've had it many months and not been pregnant |
Except had never happened to me before. Like ever. Maybe that's the case for some women but not me. |

Hi there, I had IUI with BFP (8 weeks today!). About a week after IUI, I felt the usual pre-AF symptoms. I had used the trigger shot (which gives you an instant BFP) so had to wait the entire 2 weeks to test for real, to try and avoid a false positive. That was on a Friday, with a positive BFP. Up to that point, still felt like I'd get my period any minute. Tested again Saturday, Sunday, and Monday before believing it. That Monday (2 weeks 3 days post IUI/Ovulation), I felt exhausted (first pregnancy "symptom"). By that Friday (3 weeks post IUI/Ovulation), I started feeling very slightly queasy and hungry.
From that point to now, I've needed to eat small amounts to stave off morning sickness (so far so good!) and have weird uterus stretching/crampy feelings (feels like it's just going to fall out lol). All totally normal. Good luck! |
