Thinking about trying one of these for Thanksgiving - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turducken

Who's tried one? Where did you get it? What stuffing did it have? Did you like it?

Cajun Grocer. Google it. Yum.

I ordered one from Cajun Grocer a few year ago. It was good but not great. I am not a huge turkey fan so I may not be the best judge. My brother liked it more than I did. I think we had the pork sausage stuffing.

^^ ditto. it was blah.

FIL insisted on making his own last year. OMG. First of all, food prep practices in that household are somewhat suspect. I could only imagine how long all of the birds and whatnot were sitting at room temp while he de-boned and stuffed. And then there was the moment that he checked the temp, it registered 145, and he announced it done. I had never in my life said anything in his household regarding food until that moment, when I tried to (kindly) remind everyone that poultry, and most especially STUFFED poultry, needed to reach at least 170 or so....

So let's just say that when I ate it, I wasn't in the best frame of mine. To me it wasn't any better than the typical Thanksgiving meal, and it clearly was a LOT more work. I suppose if you're buying one pre-made, hey why not?! But don't be surprised if it just tastes like Stove Top layered with various birds.

Same. My brother wanted to try it so bought one and we tried it. We decided that it wasn't worth the extra money. We sometimes do a turkey and a duck, but cook them separately.
