This is a really serious incident. This school needs some positive news. Between the coach having sex with a 16yr old, gang problems, gun lockdown 2yrs ago, sex in the halls last year, and now a handgun being brought in a gym bag from a former student who tried twice to get into the school. Scary sh$t. Very lucky security saw him. This could have been another school shooting.

| I am wondering how the school picked him out as a non-student amongst all the other 18 years olds there. Did he have a history of problems when he attended the school? I only wish the list you cited was unique to one high school. |

| He came in the day before and was found inside the school wandering. Someone asked him what class he was supposed to be in and he said he was a former student coming back to look around. They asked him to leave. Someone on security saw him again the next day during lunch time inside the school again. VERY scary!! |

| Hmmm, according to court records, he's been arrested a lot, and is 19. Not 18. And from the nature of prior charges, my guess is he has mental health issues. |

The SRO had a tip that he was coming and would be armed. They knew to look out for him.

Agreed that they did a good job with the situation. Question: if they had a tip that he was coming and he was armed, why wasnt the school on lockdown to visitors?
Other question: is this a "criminally oriented youth subculture" (I.e. Gang) incident? Does RM need enhanced Security? |
