Date Night.

Husband and I are finally getting out (3 month old and 2.5 year old) Saturday night!

Searched the forums, but nothing recent comes up. I've looked at Washingtonian's top 25/100 lists but it seems so hit or miss-- I think somewhere looks great and then yelp it and... people are just 'meh' about it. Obviously, we're not going to get into Rasika, MiniBar, Restaurant Eve, etc on this short of notice and that's fine-- we don't anything super fancy. Just looking for something different. Can be Old Town/Arlington/DC. Anything good pop up lately?

Check out the Eater 38. Those are sure bets and some of them are easy to get a reservation.

Anyone been to Vermilion since Tony Chittum left? It used to be one of our faves. I hope it's still good.

We went to his new venture Iron Gate for our anniversary earlier this week and liked it very much. Got a last minute reservation too.

That's a great idea - we went there a bit ago and it's just as romantic as before it closed but now with good food. THat's totally what I'd do for a date night.

Just went to 1905 on 9th St NW between T and U. Cozy, intimate, and really excellent food.
