Amazing Fabric store in the area?

I'm in the NW DC/BCC area and am loking for a mid to high-end fabric store. Something geared toward upholstry and modern fabrics. Any ideas? If you're familiar with LA stores, I'm looking for something like F&S in West LA.
Please help!!!!

the obvious is G Street on Rockville Pike...it is huge with many different "levels" of fabric..but I am not sure what you are used to...

I haven't been there in years, but G street Fabrics in Rockville used to be fabulous.

What you're looking for is Exquisite Fabrics...it was on K St NW and has moved to the bottom of the Georgetown Mall on M and Wisconsin... http://www.exqfabrics.com/

I agree with the G Street recommendation. I have also had a fair amount of success in the last two years with on-line purchases - most sites send samples very quickly and the prices are much lower than G Street - you should try it.
