Benedict is not gay although his character, Sherlock Holmes, is ambiguously gay because he has never had a relationship with a woman. Last season they married off John Watson (to his real life girlfriend) to place less emphasis on the rumor that Sherlock and Watson were a couple. Even their landlady thought they were a couple.
He is a fantastic actor and has two movies coming out soon. One is about a Boston Irish politician and the other about a Brit who broke the German code during the second world war. The Brit was gay, and the movie provides great insight into how homosexuals were treated in that era. If you want to fall in love with him, google "Jimmy Kimmell/Benedith Cumberbatch." Benedict does a very serious reading of an American rap song. Did I mention that he is my secret boyfriend, and those other women who post on her claiming the same are delusional hussies. |
