I really need a trim but cannot swing my usual $80 cut right now. I have very long layered hair. Do you think it's safe for maybe a 1" trim off the bottom - no layer cutting - or do you think they'll manage to mess that up? Should I just wait? |
absolutely - i do that all the time. such a waste to spend that kind of $$ on long hair |
I wouldn't blink. |
yup |
You could buy a hair cutting scissors and cut the bottom yourself, or have DH or a friend do it. |
Definitely. |
absolutely...i have my mom trim my very straight blunt-cut hair in between appointments, saves me a lot of $ |
I have long straight hair. I get my hair cut at great clips all the time. I've never had a problem. |
If you are feeling confident, you can cut it yourself! There are several good youtube tutorials on this. I've cut my own hair (layers and all) with good results. |
I get my hair cut at Great Clips all of the time. No layers, just a blunt cut bob. Tell them exactly what you want and make sure they do it the way you want. |
Why not?
Why spend $80 bucks on a haircut when you can get a decent cut for less than half that? I can never tell by looking at someone whether or not paid a fortune or a food stamp for her cut. |
Hit or miss at those kind of places. |
No. Not worth the risk. |
+1 I'm still growing out a terrible cut I got almost five years ago. (It was at an expensive place, but still.) Can you call your salon and see if they'll let you schedule a trim instead of a cut? My place gives free bang trims between cuts - yours might offer something like that. |
OP wants a trim for her long hair, I doubt she'll be in this situation - what the hell did you do to your hair that it's taking five years to grow out? There is something wrong with you. |
