Recommend Your WPPSI Evaluator

My DS is very shy! Looking for an evaluator that will take a few minutes to engage him before jumping right into the assessment. TIA for your responses.

+1 for Joe Adler - he did a great job a few years back easing our DC into the testing process.

we had the opposite experience with JOEL (not Joe) Adler when DS was tested 5 years ago. It was such a negative experience, I would never recommend this guy to anyone. he is hands-off and disengaged. He farms you out to some crazy woman all the way in Alexandria who does all the actual testing out of her home. Having to pull DS out of school for 3 days of testing when we lived in Bethesda and had to drive all the way to Alexandria was completely unacceptable. I had no idea that we would have to do this until after we signed on the dotted line. For what this guy charges, the tester should come to Adler's office in Chevy Chase instead. It was a more professional environment than the dark, dank basement of this woman's house....where her DH is home during the day doing laundry and parading around in his boxers. No, I'm not kidding.

what a mistake that was, an expensive and regrettable mistake.

I suggest Daisy Pasqualvaca.

This was for a full evaluation, not just the one test.

Funny, we went through the process with Adler - couldn't recommend it strongly enough.

We also used Dr. Joel Adler. Took about 45 minutes, and he was super kind and engaged - really great with my pre-k child.

And Dr. Adler is located in Bethesda, not Chevy Chase.
