Bumping, because parents were asking questions about it in another thread.

By the way, DCI = DC International school, an language-focused International Baccalaureate (IB) middle and high school (sure hope I spelled Bacca___ correctly LOL!)

How was it? Couldn't make it myself.

Lovely. They had students there too. Seems to be having a great start.

Was there any discussion/update on the location? Status of Walter Reed space?

Curious about this, too.

What are the alternatives if Walter Reed doesn't materialize?

How is the 100% paperless policy working out? That seems like a lot of screen-time for kids. I also heard kids get to play video games on laptops or personal devices during breaks and even sometimes in class. Curious to hear current parents take on their tech focus.

If this is true it bumps DCI further down my list.

Really? I didn't know about the 100% paperless policy. We are at a feeder school. I really don't like the idea of DC spending so much time in front of a screen. Any DCI parents who could describe how the classes work? Might need to reconsider DCI....

I would not like paperless.

First I've heard of it. When is the next DCI Info session? Definitely hope someone asks this. (I can never make it to wherever it is by 6:00 from work).

It is on their webpage:
Technology at DCI meets our environmental (paperless education), social justice (access for all), and academic (students will be able to progress at higher levels through the curriculum) goals.

Gross! Also at a feeder and not psyched about this.
