Will Cantania Keep Kaya?

Anonymous
Silly question at this point, I know.

But what's the word on this?

I know Muriel committed to keeping her around.

I think it's unlikely, since he's really hammered home his school reform initiative. Too bad he's almost certainly going to lose, I really thought this was a turnaround year. Oh well. I'll be watching the polls anyway.

Don't give up so soon. You never know. Teachers are behind him. That's ALOTTA votes.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that teachers are behind him? Was there a news story on this, or is it just a hunch on your part? I happen to be a teacher supporting him, but I'm wondering if there's something else I missed.

Most teachers don't support him because he is an anti-union Republican.

I think he would keep her.

Straight from the horses mouths-teachers lounges, teacher gatherings. Seems teachers want Kaya to go and see him as the man to do it.

1.) Teachers are split. 2.) Many teachers live in MD and VA it's not like they're all in DC.

You sit in multiple teachers' lounges? Do they know you're there?

Parents generally like Kaya. And Catania listens to parents. They have known each other since Freshman year. Bottom line: Catania keeps Kaya and integrates the education agenda into many more aspects of city management (e.g., housing, transportation, economic development, arts, technology).

David was asked this question at the Georgetown Citizens Association. He said that he had no reason to think he wouldn’t keep Henderson, but would want to talk with her first. He reiterated that he wouldn’t be engaging in discussions such as this until after the election. He has done more for education then Bowser before any of his mayoral dreams. Please let this guy win.

Yes, some people visit schools and do nothing but sit in teacher lounges and common spaces all day-for various reasons.

I'm not invisible, so yes they know I'm there. They even talk to me!!!!

It's been those eligible to vote in DC who've said they're going to vote for Cantania solely to get Kaya out.

Sounds like a politican's way of saying, 'She's outta here!'

Me thinks you've been sitting in the teacher's lounge too long. You don't even find teacher's in a high school sitting in a teacher's lounge

How would you know? Are you sitting in those common areas with me all day? Or are you basing this on one school experience? You sound petty and childish.
