Freeze rice and beans?

| I doubled a rice and beans recipe and now have enough to feed an army, which I don't need. Would it get icky if frozen? It would be nice to have it to thaw as an easy side dish another time. |

| It would probably be fine. I freeze both of those separately all the time. You may have to add a little moisture when you thaw it. |

| Actually Beans and Rice is one of those dishes that freezes very well and the flavors really melds throughout the dish. You will be just fine. And if it dries up, add some water and a dash of spices to perk it up! |

| We make rice and freeze individual portions for reheating during the week. It works fine. I think adding beans would work fine too. |
