| I hear that people to this all of the time. How can I do this? Thanks |
| I just went to Home Depot and told them the name of the BM paint. |
| ...that is not what I thought this thread was about. |
| Bring the swatch to Hd. Some of the Behr paint is good and some sucks. Ther expensive and cheap lines are terrible. The really expensive one has a horrible smell. Their ultra is good. Sherman Williams is better and not much more. |
| Op here, thanks perhaps I just need to fork over the money for BM. I've wasted quite a bit of money on Sherwin Williams harmony and thought the quality was just okay. |
Hi. What paint did you end up using? Were you satisfied? |
| I've done this probably 5 times. Each time I've brought the BM swatch and the Home Depot paint guy hasn't needed it. They just type in the name or number of the BM paint and the correct formula pops up. Usually use the cheapest Behr paint. Last time bought the low VOC primer/paint combo because we were doing a black color and wanted it to cover well. Turned out absolutely gorgeous. |
+1. I have done this with at least 10 colors in 2 houses with no issues. I get the Behr Ultra, but I'm not sure if I need to. |
| BM, like the color of poop? |
Behr and so far so good, though it's only been a few months. |
| We just did this and do it all the time. Just give them the name and they'll look it up |
| "BM" means Benjamin Moore paint company. I prefer to bring the paint chip with me to the paint store so when the paint is mixed, you can see for yourself that the MATCH is accurate. |
