Help! Brownie decorating

Anonymous
I'm making some brownies in a few minutes and had gotten some of those thick sugar icing decorations to put on top (pumpkins, skeletons, etc) and just realized I have no icing or ingredients to whip some up. Anyone know if I can put them on the brownie mix prior to baking so they stick in them, or will baking ruin them? Alternately, I have a little bit of decorating gel I could use to put a dot under them, but the gel won't get hard and set them, right?

I'd bake them naked and press the decorations in as soon as they are oit of the oven.

This is the best advice. Or you can brush the backs with a little water to get them to stick perhaps.

Thanks, ended up pressing them in.
