Yay or nay on this phrase?
Personally it drives me crazy. I always imagine that the person saying it is some sort of creepy, overly cheerful teacher type who talks to everyone like a child. Just my opinion of course! I've seen it used quite a lot here. |

I like it better when you say the whole thing:
"Easy, Peazy, Lemon Squeezy." |
|
Hate it.
My old OB used it to describe breastfeeding, which I was having a horrendous time with, so maybe that's why I dislike it so much. |
| They say it on Tickety Tock, so it has re-enteredmy vocabulary. |
This would make me murderous. |
| Haha I say it all the time. However, I promise you I'm not the overly cheerful teacher type. |
| I hate it. |

| My DS's K teacher just taught him this phrase. It's cute out of those under 5 when used minimally but not out of his 30 something teacher. |
I think that would push me over the edge too. I used to hate it, but one of the characters on Vicar of Dibley used to say it and it grew on me. |
| grating |
| British. |
| I say it sometimes BECAUSE it's annoying to me. And, yes, I say "easy peasy, lemon squeeze" too. |
DS picked up this phrase at school (kindergarten). No idea if it was from teachers or other kids. It's nonsensical (the "lemon squeezy" part). Not yet annoying, but only because he's 5 and it sort of sounds cute, for now. |
| My 5 year old says it and it doesn't bother me. I don't say it but, if I were to, I would probably say it to my 3 year old. Not for adult conversation. |
