I know we all have more important things to worry about, but this article has gotten a bunch of attention in recent days. The chicensht comment has gotten the most attention, but i thought some on this list would be interested in another adjective that was used
http://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/10/the-crisis-in-us-israel-relations-is-officially-here/382031/?single_page=true to quote from the article: Over the years, Obama administration officials have described Netanyahu to me as recalcitrant, myopic, reactionary, obtuse, blustering, pompous, and “Aspergery.” |
| You can say the same things about our commander and chief. |
|
| The fact that this was said in the press does suggest some social skill challenges, but not Netanyahu's. |
No, it probably means Netanyahu comes off as inflexible and aloof. |
maybe that's because Obama is such a disrespectful dick. yes, that would be my guess and I am sure its spot on. |
The guy behind door #2 is a bad-ass. The other guy reminds me of an immature high schooler who just found his big brother's stash of grass. |
| And, the administration official who made this comment should be fired. Ridiculous. This administration is more concerned about seeking out and prosecuting journalists for doing their job than tracking down officials in its administration who make tactless and destructive comments. |
| NP. Explain to me what any of these comments have to do with the Special Needs forum. |
It was a result of this quote:
|
It doesn't. OP is a pot stirrer. |
For an Obama administration official to refer to Netanyahu as “Aspergery” is pretty callous. |
| Serious sock puppetting going on here. |
That still wouldn't account for why someone thought it was professional and appropriate to feed this anonymous quote to the press. |
|
I'm the OP and I didn't mean to stir anything up. I actually thought that was a bizarre adjective to apply to Netanyahu -- I think of him as kind of impassionated, if anything. I think it goes to show how meaningly the term "aspergery" can be. I've heard it used twice in one week, including about one of our chid's doctors.
