Halloween dinner

What are your plans to serve for dinner on Friday? I will be out trick or treating with my kids from about 5-7 and would love something easy to throw together after that incorporates the theme of the night.

I'm doing a big batch of chili and cornbread and my neighbor is doing a pot of her dad's green chile and tortillas. Both will be warming on my stove and when all the neighbors are some trick or treating they're welcome to wander in, grab a bowl and a drink, and come hang out in the driveway with us.

Pizza, largely because there's a picky eater coming to have dinner and trick or treat with us and he will eat pizza.

Pizza or pasta. Sorry, OP, no Halloween theme there. We usually eat after trick-or-treating.

Pizza. Keep in mind that it's really popular, so order early - deliveries are very slow on Halloween.

I made some mac n cheese today to bake tomorrow so all I have to do is steam some broccoli and throw that in the oven.

At the Bed Bath and Beyond in Tyson's Corner they have Halloween pasta. We made this last year and the kids loved it.

Repurposing leftover braised beef + hamburger buns into BBQ beef sandwiches. Sliced veggies. FAST and easy.

We eat before going out, I can entice the kids to eat a good dinner by telling them that we'll go trick or treating as soon as they're done. If we wait until after TOT, they'll be too exhausted and excited to eat much dinner. Besides, I always let them eat a few pieces of candy while we're out.
