What do you do with your kids when school is out?

Anonymous
Since the kids are 2 hours early on Friday and off Monday and Tuesday, I'm trying to think of what I can do with DD. My husband will be at home with her since I can't take leave. I thought about Brentwood Arts but that's a bit of a ways since I'm in South County. What kinds of things do you do with your kids during long breaks?

Thanks!

Check out other PGparks community centers near you and see what's up. They've probably got spring, fall, and winter break camps.

I have an older kid who is totally OK at home for a couple hours, but when he was smaller, I'd sign him up for Ice & Easy days at Wells ice rink, or other similar stuff if I couldn't take time off. If your husband is home, maybe they can just hang out or go to a playground.

I've also taken my child to work with me on occasion, which thankfully nobody at my office has a problem with.

Check out Kids Day Out near you.

Brentwood is good. When my kids were younger, I would also swap with other parents. Now that they're a bit older, I leave them on their own and/or take the day off to hang out with them.

As it will be Halloween, I imagine there will be tons going on.
