Jewelry to request from hubby under $200 or so post-baby?

Anonymous
My husband wants to get me a piece of jewelry for V-day and we recently had a baby. I don't want him to spend more than $200 bucks or so. ANy ideas of something nice, but not cheap?

I don't typically like cheesy jewelry but I love the Jane Seymour Forever Heart. What about a necklace with baby's birthstone?

How about a sterling silver necklace from Tiffany's.

Sundance Catalog has lots of interesting, somewhat unique jewelry (most in sterling silver) and the vast majority is within your budget - it's always been my husband's first stop for gift-giving. In fact, the ring he actually used to propose to me came from there!

I love this. I wish I had heard of this when my ds was born.

This might now apply because everyone in DC has money, but (I can say it because I'm Jewish)

What's the difference between a Catholic woman & a Jewish woman ?
The Catholic woman has fake jewelry and real orgasms.

One of the nicest pieces of baby jewelry I have gotten was from my mom--a simple silver heart with my son's initials on one side and his birth date on the other, on a simple silver chain, long enough to hang roughly over my heart--so I can wear it under clothes, or over clothes. Not sure the price, but I am pretty sure it was under 200 dollars. I could envision a similarly sweet bracelet with a single heart--the heart was roughly the size of a dime.

The Jane Seymour Forever Heart looks like a cock and balls to me... Just sayin'

PP here: Blue Nile has some very simple engraveable lockets, hearts on either necklaces or bracelets, including one with a small diamond on it for only 80.00. Very simple but classic pieces.

I admit I'm not a jewelry lover. I got a massage and facial paid for by DH after baby! But good luck with your selection - i guess jewelry lasts longer but damn that other stuff feels good.
