Shampoo-in root cover up help

| Does this product even exist? I'm looking for something I can use in the shower to cover up my roots to extend the time between salon visits. I am too impatient and too messy to do it at home. I am frugal by nature but go to a salon to cover up my gray because I'm sure I'd get dye on everything as I tried to do things while the color's in. Please recommend a product that would do this. |

What color is your hair? I use John Freida hair glaze on my brown hair and it works well. It covers the grey and looks good.
FWIW, I am the least talented hair person on the planet. I buy the demi-permanent hair color from the beauty supply store. I put it on my wet (freshly-cleaned) hair and leave for 30 minutes (I put on a shower cap) then wash out. Lasts about 6 weeks. |
