What kind of lawyer...

...reviews employment agreements? Is it a contract lawyer? Or, a labor and employment lawyer? And, how do I go about finding one? Also, the position is in another state (Florida) -- are state laws specific that I need to find a Florida lawyer?

Yes, employment attorney. Are you also in Florida, or is this a remote work situation? That might affect the answer.

Employment lawyer. And yes, you should get a lawyer in the jurisdiction that will govern the agreement. Laws, especially non-compete/non-solicit, are state specific. If you don't have a referral, you could call the state bar in that jurisdiction. Or, if you have an accountant or other professional like that, ask him/her.

OP here. Thanks for the replies.

In the DC area, moving to Florida. No accountant or similar professional in that area (yet).

If both you and the job will be in Florida, then definitely a Florida attorney.
