Hardly any mother who has to pick a SN kid up repeatedly for poor behavior, gets him in the car, cries about how hopeless it feels and then snaps a pic with tears on her face and the kid in the background for a bunch of strangers. It looks staged and attention seeking.

She has no job or income living in Missouri.

+1. I have a friend who makes up and exaggerates all sorts of illnesses in her kids. She seems like a normal person but doesn’t act like it when it comes to her kids and being sick. Frequent posts with photos of her child at the hospital, sick etc.

Megan is from a really nice family. Her siblings are pro athletes (sisters) and a model (brother). She is from a great family in St. Louis, big Irish-Catholic. She is a smart woman. She went to HS with my sister and is very down to earth and kind. I think she and some of her siblings (brother) always wanted to be famous. But does that make her mentally unstable? No. I imagine dealing with three kids including one child with special needs during the pandemic would be challenging.

My sister went to college with Jim's second wife. They were in the same sorority. She is happily married and very successful. She is beautiful and down to earth too. She did not care for Megan at all but never said anything until the divorce was finalized. Kim tends to date women who are very similar, with this last woman not falling into the pattern. Megan and Allison are similar backgrounds but not personalities. Allison is very out of the spotlight and "normal".

But to snap a pic of a miserable and hopeless moment in your life with tears on your face…for strangers, does make her fame hungry, sad, and odd. Her reaching fans at that moment was more important than her son’s right to privacy or even her having a moment to reflect on next steps.

What does spelling have to do with Meghan telling the truth? The photos of the sick kid who looks perfectly normal is highly suspect. This is what attention seeking moms do with issues.

I can’t imagine a mom with a truly sick child would post a photo like this. You’re too overwhelmed with the illness and life to even post about it on social media. My money is on the kid being completely fine.

Kate Swenson who writes the wonderful blog, findingcoopersvoice.com about her son with severe autism, has also posted similar pics and feelings. Maybe you can’t relate but there are many of us who do and appreciate them giving a voice and awareness to the challenges our families face every day.
