You don’t know how this works, do you?

In DC only 6% of Assault with Dangerous Weapons charges result in a conviction. Are you sure you know how this works?

Probably far fewer than 6% of people who shoot other people in DC are apprehended at the scene in front of multiple witnesses.

So should we kick out every Republican because the right statistically commits more acts of violence than the left?

How many gangbangers are Republicans?

Political violence, yes the right is more violent. If you sre on the right, you are on the side more likely to commit political violence (and no, whatever random anecdote you use, anecdotes do not contradict statistics)

Do you think this case will be treated as a run of the mill assault case?

Facts about political violence are funny? Or you think anecdotes contradict statistics? I would think it is more sad than funny if you think anecdotes contradict statistics.

Jury nullification seems to be a badge of pride around here. It’s the new yard sign.

Facts about political violence

The more socialist one becomes, the more violent one becomes. It's linked to parasitic infections of the brain.

That's about the only say regular citizens have anymore. Voting is a sham now with all the electronic fraud and stolen elections. Jury box is one of the last boxes.

This story is going to shed light on a lot of dark things we did in Afghanistan

No, it's not. What it is doing is demonstrating how this shooting is Dump's fault. His horrific and cruel immigration policy left Afghan patriots who risked their lives to support use abandoned and vulnerable to the Taliban. His ridiculous, wasteful authoritarian theater tha is spending $200 million+ to have Guard members away from their families and careers to stand around at Metro stations performing authoritarian theater left these Guard members as sitting ducks.

Never forget---this shooting is Donald Trump's fault.

The shooting is the fault of the shooter. That’s how it works.

Does this mean that we can FINALLY stop hearing the whining about liberals inciting violence and sedition by simply pointing out reality and truth? About the poor ICE agents getting their feelings hurt while they kidnap and harass people?

Thank god.

However, this is still 100% trumps fault. These soldiers families should call him out. Other veterans already are.

ICE Agents kidnapped 3 million people when Obama was president? Were you in the streets protesting then? Thought so.

And the response of people to the shooting of two NG members by an Afghan terrorist is :checks notes: that there should be less NG members and federal forces in DC? Really? DC is the capital of the country and is FAR more dangerous than any European or Asian capital city, many of which have soldiers patrolling. And your recommendation is that we should have less federal security after a terrorist attack? Really?!!!

ICE agents most certainly did not "kidnap" three million people under Obama, and more, they didn't kidnap anyone who was going through the process legally, unlike the current regime.

Obama denied millions of deportees due process and didn’t even allow them a court hearing. He separated families and deported aunts and grandmothers who were minding their own business. Crickets from people on here about what he was doing back then because he was on the home team. People on here only give a damn about human rights when it helps them politically.

They removed it because the data was bunk. They counted things like defacing Catholic Churches and Islamic terrorism as “right wing.”

They don't really even care then.

One of the main tenets of socialism is that "good intentions take precedence over good outcomes" and that evil in the name of socialism is just if done with good intentions.

It’s not like they were shot trying to stop a carjacking…this was a nut job who drove 2000 miles.

This should be obvious to people, but the Trump administration and their various propaganda outlets have turned the truth to mush.

This was not "DC crime." It was a horrible act of terrorism that wouldn't even have been possible had Trump not engaged in this stupid vanity project with the National Guard. Jeanine Pirro said this morning that the two guardsman who were shot had just been sworn in. They are 20 and 24 years old. Completely senseless.

If Trump hadn't had the national guard in DC, this wouldn't have happened.
If Trump hadn't betrayed his family, this wouldn't have happened.

But somehow, this is Biden's fault and a liberal city will be paying the price with even more National Guard troops that don't need to be here.

We can play this game all day long.

If Dems would have gotten crime under control, national guard wouldnt have been deployed to DC in the first place.

If Dems hadn't imported hundreds of thousands of Afghans, this guy would have never been here in the first place.

Ultimately however, shooter is the one responsible for his own actions.

It cannot be repeated enough: The guard plays no law enforcement role in DC. They are there for performative reasons only. Also yard work, I guess.

NG are not trained for law enforcement. They are not allowed to arrest people. They are not authorized to use force. They are for show.

The crime issue in DC is totally separate from this incident. Crime in DC is a problem, it does require solutions. The NG is not a solution, and this incident was not the result of DC crime. The perpetrator was a terrorist who traveled to DC to shoot guardsman he know to be there because Trump's NG stunt in DC has been highly publicized.

Well they are there for a visual deterrent, so they do serve a purpose. The idea being many criminals don't continue with a carjacking if there is military police across the street. But yes, since you brought it up, let's add another one- If media hadn't hysterically conflated the NG, unlawful orders and ICE, it would have never happened. Shooter's immigration status was in question, so it's plausible he thought the "nazi" NG was about to deport him.

Why aren't they putting the "visual deterrent" in actual high crime hotspots then?

Because they aren’t allowed to arrest anyone and people like you would scream that we were in a police state if the NG were doing no knock raids on trap houses. That’s why. Don’t be daft.

They are patrolling in high visibility areas so that MPD and people who can brandish their weapons and arrest hardened criminals can be in those hotspots and spending their time patrolling relatively safer places. This isn’t rocket science but people like you like to act naive for political purposes.

So, he answere a question about people who came via 3rd countries, and then Graham changed the question, so he changed his answer? You're trying to make something out of that?

He changed his answer because Graham changed the question. Not because he was reminded he was under oath.
