One million dollars

Heard it was around $20,000. Don’t think her getting paid will motivate her teammates to stay and pay to play there.

How would that motivate others? They get to pay for play while this player gets paid…and possibly with their money… I don’t think so.

If I had a daughter there, whether she stayed or went would be her choice (at that age) but I can’t imagine I would be happy about this. If the player needed financial assistance to cover her fees, that’s one thing. Paying a player to stay at the club (which clearly is funded by everyone else) is a bad look, at least it is to me. It would not make me stay, and I can see why some people might see it as a reason to go if they had a good alternative.

It will motivate some to tackle as hard as possible in practices

I guess she plans to play professionally. Receiving a salary to play for a club makes her a professional and ends her NCAA eligibility

100% wrong. Lots of college and even high school players have NIL deals now. https://www.ncsasports.org/name-image-likeness

She isn't being paid to play, she is being paid to use her image and name to promote the club.

Considering how much the past FCV administration has pushed her success as their own success standing ovation for her to cut a deal like this. Good for her.

ANY club who has a top YNT player who is also a Power 5 commit would do the same.
