They smell like pyramid schemes to me. Overpriced, useless makeup/home goods/skin cleansers while offering the "dream" of a "luxury" car and tons of cash to poor saps.
A friend posts rodan and fields all over Facebook and I'm getting sick of it. Anyone else have experience with this sort of trashy behavior, and what do you think of MLM as a career? |

Ughh I'm so tired of the "mommy millionaire" posts for "It Works" all over Facebook.
Of course someone who makes all their money off new recruits who have to purchase product to sell are going to blab on social media that they make a ton of $$. That is how they recruit -- selling the idea that you can get rich working at home. Maybe it's okay for a few at the top, but otherwise smells of a scam to me. And even if the $ is good for a few years, what are the retirement benefits like? What happens when a new/better product comes out? Is this really something you can put on a legit resume? |
| I have many friends who have sold these things and I've been to their parties, but their involvement in it always ends within the year. It's very hard to get a large enough network to sell as much as you'd need to sell to keep afloat. |
| Total scams. I've also unfriended people on FB when their personal page turns into an ad for their protein shakes/make-up/weight loss scheme. I didn't like your professional page, so don't bug me with your ads. |
