Paint color - bamboo floors

I have bamboo floors in my basement -- any suggestions for a neutral wall color? I can't seem to find one that works right with the yellowish floors. There's almost no natural light.

A light blue or grey with blue undertones would complement the yellow floors.

I'd say a light gray with purple undertones.

Purple is the compliment of yellow.

Yeah, that doesn't necessarily make it a good choice, though. Green is the complement of red, but I don't think those 2 go together. A purple-y grey would really turn me off. Why not something totally neutral like white, OP?

We have bamboo in our basement, too and our walls are navy. It's a walk out though and we get tons of light.
