DH has been having serious back pain for a while now (almost a year). He's been trying to make due with yoga and stretching, but it's just not giving him any relief. He's generally pretty active in martial arts but has taken the last few weeks off to help with our newborn and feels worse, if anything.
Anyone know a good physical therapist or sports doctor who could help? He's already doing a heating pad and I booked him a therapeutic massage for the weekend. Poor guy needs something more to lick this problem for good. |
| Dr JoAnn Zinn - chiropractor in Takoma Park - excellent |
| I go to a chiropractor when my back/neck/should acts up. Dr. Phillip Bahnson in Georgetown. |

John E Sarno's books on back pain are very popular

| I have heard great things about CORE PT in DC. |

Rockville Medical and Disc Center
Dr. Wander and Dr. Osborne. They will treat you but they will also sugest things you can do that will keep you from having to come back if you have pains again. |

My PT is the best. They're in Reston, but it's right off the toll road.
https://vtfc.com/ If you can get in, go to Rich or Larry. I've seen Larry off and on for chronic problems for years. They might make you see their doctors first; they are across the hall from their practice and also excellent. He will need a prescription. Good luck. |
| Quentin Paquette is a great PT. Not sure if he's practicing in NoVa or D.C. now. |
| Another vote for a good, non-quacky chiropractor. |
