Suggestion: Gear Page

Just a suggestion, but it would be really great to have a "Gear" forum/page... when I am looking for a topic or advice on a baby registry or some type of gear, I never know where to put it. Expectant Moms doesn't seem quite right because many are FTMs who might not know or I am looking for things that you wouldn't need until later... and General Parenting is just such a huge category that I am not sure a gear question fits there.

Right now, please use "General Parenting". I'd rather move other stuff out of GP rather than gear discussions.

New poster.

Perhaps just another General parenting for elementary age kids? GP seems to slant heavily to the baby/toddler set, and the older kids and teenagers seems older and it's own set of issues (I'm not a Tiger Mom enough to be thinking about college yet with my 1st grader!)

Actually, there are a lot of threads about elementary school aged kids in the older kids and teenager forum.

I've been thinking about doing exactly this. For years, the older kids and teenagers forum was hardly used. I kept holding on, thinking that our users' kids will age. We've finally hit that point. I suspect that those with elementary aged kids are not eager to read the three or more threads about masturbation. We probably need to separate elementary from teenagers.

About those threads.... There's been a spate of really prurient threads in the Teens forum recently. Is there any reason to believe this is 1-2 posters getting their jollies?

Perfect - thanks! I like the idea of moving some stuff out of GP (whatever you think is best) - it's SO big.
