Specialist for high blood pressure in DC

My husband has high blood pressure and has been under care of the family doctor for a couple of years. He has been taken daily blood pressure bill but blood pressure did not go down for long and now it is 155/85 area again. Should he continue sees family doctor? Would appreciate a recommendation of a good specialist who treats high blood pressure in northern VA or DC area. Many thanks!
