If you could choose any MCPS cluster for DC, which would it be and why?

We are in a good cluster (WJ) and are happy with it-would not change it. Diverse, not too much of a pressure cooker, the best of the W schools in my opinion.

We are happy at RM but looked at QO area too. I think we could have been happy with many of the area schools. We avoided the W schools for a broader experience...not that they aren't good school.

We're in the Einstein cluster and are very happy. Would only consider BCC cluster for proximity to DC. Sad that my kids are growing up in the suburbs.

It is traditionally a nickname for the four "W"hitest schools in the county. Whittman, Wootten, Winston Churchhill and Walter Johnson...which also happen to have H's somewhere in their name.

You are wrong. Not all schools that start from W. As another perston pointed W schools that all people refer to as "strong schools and pressure cookers" are:
Whitman, Wootton, Winston Chirchill, and Walter Johnson.

Watkins Mill and Wheaton or any other schools that have W anywhere in their name are not part of the list.

New poster here. Could you elaborate? I'm in Wootton now and would prefer RM or QO. I think of them as being similarly diverse and less pressure-cooker than Wootton. What distinguishes them for you?
