Ever try Fenugreek - and did it help? Anything else that worked for you (as far as supplements or oatmeal or whatever...) that I could try on top of the additional pumping? Dang I hate that pump!
Thanks. |
| I had success with herbal tea designed to support nursing. It's sold under different names by the various labels. "Mother's Milk", I think, is one. And, I believe they have fenugreek in them, among other things. |
| I take fenugreek, 3 tablets twice a day, and have a few cups of the tea a day. It has increased my pumping supply for sure. |
| There is something at Whole Foods called Lactate Support - it has Fenugreek and a bunch of other things in it. It works really well. I lost my milk completely at 4 months with DD1 and after talking to an LC I took those supplements, ate oatmeal for breakfast every day, drank tons of water, upped my protein, and spent an entire weekend in bed nursing the baby and my milk came back. When the same thing started to happen with DD2 I went straight to the supplements and all was well. |
