DE Insurance Coverage

| My insurance covers IVF up to a certain life time amount, but not costs related to DE. Does anyone who has gone through insurance for DE know whether MY IVF costs will be covered? (I understand that my donor's egg retrieval costs, meds, etc. won't be covered.) I also know that insurance differs depending on provider and employer, I'm just trying to get a general sense of other people's experience. |

| I'm not sure that any insurance covers DE. Most have the requirement that you are using your own egg and husband's sperm. I've had coverage under 2 different insurers, one govt and one private. Not a huge sample but I think that it is a very common requirement. |
