Been thinking about consulting with Dr. Frankfurter, but read in an older thread that they do not monitor or retrieve during weekends.
Does that still apply? |
| No that's not right. I had both over the weekend in the last few months. |
| I had weekend and holiday (and two snow days) appointments (for monitoring, IUI, etc.) at GW. |
| I have not been a patient there in a while, but they definitely do retrievals and transfers over a weekend and they will do monitoring if it's necessary. They will try to schedule around the weekend for monitoring if possible. I.e., they have you come on Friday and Monday for monitoring if you're early on in your cycle and have just started stimming. |

OP here, thanks!
The thread was from 2009/2010. Good to know they changed the office hours! |
| It's a case by case, but GW did monitor during weekend for me in July 2014. |
Just to clarify, there hasn't been a chance and GW was never "closed" on the weekends. I went to them on and off between 2008 and 2013. I remember a few threads long ago, there was often a poster that would chime in and say GW didn't do procedures on the weekends. This was never the case in my experience. They are "closed" on weekends, as in the front office staff isn't there and they don't do routine appointments. But they've always done monitoring or procedures on weekends, as needed. |

| They don't have routine office hours or monitoring on the weekends. They will do it if they have to. |
Plus 1. This always made me nervous. |
They will do it if the have to?? I had 3 ER/ET ALL on Saturday's and one monitoring appt as well. All within the past two years. Yes, they will try and have you do Fri/Mon appts, but weekend monitoring was never an issue. |
Yes, if they HAVE to. They don't routinely have monitoring. |
